Welcome to the Sunbury United Methodist Church website. In these days when everyone is trying to live life to its fullest potential, many of us feel the need for something real, something relevant. We add activities to an already busy schedule, we stretch our home and car payments to their maximum limits, we join new clubs and travel to new places, we meet all sorts of new people and yet there is still emptiness deep inside. It’s an emptiness only Jesus Christ can fill. Jesus brings life to LIFE!

Our church is a place where Christ is proclaimed in a way that is meaningful and relational. It’s a great place! I am excited about our church because of its relevant and contemporary setting for worship, music, ministries, sound teaching, youth ministries, warm fellowship and many growing ministries of outreach through evangelism and Christian service. I warmly welcome you who are followers of Christ and those who are seeking God’s direction in their life to become an active part of this very special church.

SUMC is at a crossroads, physically and spiritually. Not only are we at the crossroads of Routes 3 and 37, but also at the crossroads of life. We are where life and faith intersect. It’s a great place to be!

TEAM JESUS Vacation Bible School is coming to

The Sunbury United Methodist Church!

We need powerful, young kids who want to be CHAMPIONS FOR JESUS!!! “TEAM JESUS” is the theme of the SUMC Vacation Bible School this year. Participating young CHAMPIONS will learn about the impact Jesus has on our lives, stories of Biblical Champions, and how we can be champions for Jesus! Each night the children will learn Bible lessons, play games, eat snacks, enjoy music, watch puppets, do arts and crafts and fellowship with other young champions! If your child is 3 years old (potty-trained) through 5th grade (in the fall) we invite you to join this exciting adventure. TEAM JESUS is Sunday, June 24th – Thursday, June 28th from 6:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Sunbury United Methodist Church. Register now! Parents will find registration forms and parental consent forms here or available at the Sunbury United Methodist Church. Completed registration forms and parental consent forms may be presented at the church office or mailed to: Sunbury United Methodist Church, 100 West Cherry Street, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Be sure to register so your child will not miss any of the fun at “TEAM JESUS”!
