Christian Education

Crossroads Sunday School

For more information contact Heidi Stimmel, Director of Children's Ministries.

Crossroads is our Sunday morning Christian Education program where children 3 years old (potty trained) through 4th grade learn Bible lessons through art, science, food fun, music, games and much more. We offer many fun ways to learn about God’s amazing love! 5th and 6th graders meet at the same time for Be 5:6 for open gym, Bible study, and service to the church. Each class has a designated room. Classes are Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 a.m., September through May. Crossroads does not  meet on the 5th Sunday so families can enjoy worship together.

Midweek Story Time

Midweek Story Time meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00-7:30, October through December, immediately following Cherub Choir. Midweek Story Time is for children three years old through kindergarten, and includes a favorite Bible story followed by a small craft, food fun, or game. Midweek Story Time does not meet when there is no Cherub Choir practice.

Child Care

Child care is offered during all Sunday Morning Worship Services. Our paid staff are certified in CPR and have completed a thorough criminal background check. Child care rooms are located across from the sanctuary for newborn through kindergarten age children. Parents are texted if needed during worship. Your child’s comfort and safety is our utmost concern. Child care is also offered for parents who are involved in church activities. To find out if child care is available during your scheduled activity, please contact the church office at 740-965-3813.

T.W.I.G.S.

T.W.I.G.S is our newest Wednesday evening ministry for 1st -5th graders.   Activities begin in the dining room immediately following Midweek Fellowship Dinner. No registration is required.  Activities include Bible lessons, cooking lessons, art lessons, board games, organized open gym, technology and much more. Each activity will last 6 weeks.  2 activities will be scheduled per semester.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is usually held the last week of June and is for children three years old (potty trained) through fifth grade. During this five-evening event, children learn Bible lessons, play games, eat snacks, enjoy music, watch puppets, do arts and crafts and fellowship with other young children. There is no charge for Vacation Bible School (VBS).

Boy Scouts

For more information contact the church office at 740-965-3813.

Cub Scouting turns life values, such as self-reliance, caring and dependability, into fun and educational activities, designed to help parents in strengthening character, good citizenship and physical fitness in boys.

Scouting reinforces family values. We know boys do not join scouting for character-building–boys join because it's fun! We do many outdoor camping adventures, summer camps, hiking, fishing, biking, skating parties, the infamous Pinewood Derby and Rain-Gutter Regatta. There are always new and exciting activities every year! Best of all, boys will form lifelong friendships!

SCOUTING IS FUN WITH A PURPOSE!

Our church has been a supporter of Scouts Pack 247 since 1959!
