Sunbury United Methodist church offers a personal empowerment safety education program where children ages 8-11 will learn several principles of self defense and tactics to use against various types of assaults. 

There is a minimal cost of $10.00 which covers the expenses of a t-shirt, wristband and handbook.  This is a 10 hour course of instruction and the goal is to reduce a child’s risk of becoming a victim of crime.
