Getting Connected at Sunbury United Methodist Church How to get connected: One -- Get Involved We hope to both serve people in the name of Christ and involve people in ministry. There is a place for you! You do not have to commit to membership to be a full part of worship, study, fellowship and outreach. We are a permission giving congregation, so we encourage you to help us develop new ministries. Want to see something happen? We'll help make it happen. Two -- Join a Small Group We have many small groups, fellowship groups (information is elsewhere on this website). We invite you to join one. These small groups help you meet and become friends with a group of fellow Christians. Three - Attend a Dessert with the Pastor About four times a year Pastor Brian and Audra Smith host a dessert. This is an evening of sharing information and God's vision for our church and it gives you the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what God is doing at Sunbury UMC. Four -- Join the church A few weeks after a Dessert with the Pastor new members will be received into the congregation. This is a time when new members come forward, make their vows, and join Sunbury UMC. We then celebrate you becoming a part of this very special family. |
